This year's harvest, the largest so far in Naturipe's history, contains new varieties

Salinas, CA – At Naturipe Farms, there are raspberries as far as the eye can see!

Naturipe Farms, a leading global producer of soft berries, is pleased to announce that this year’s raspberry crop is breaking company records. Sourced from both Baja California and Central Mexico, their conventional and proprietary organic varieties will be available in large quantities to raspberry lovers around the world.

“We have spent decades carefully cultivating our raspberries, and this year’s crop is one of the best we have ever had, both in terms of yield and quality,” said Fernando Aguiar, business development director for Naturipe Farms.

The record volumes are due to two factors: First, Naturipe Farms has seen increased customer demand for raspberries and has expanded its acreage across all growing areas in response. This allows for more berries to be grown, harvested and distributed. Second, Naturipe’s proprietary raspberry varieties are performing exceptionally well this season thanks to a variety of environmental and growing factors.

Naturipe Farms anticipates strong volumes of conventional and organic raspberries through the end of the year. Improvements in acreage and crop quality position Naturipe well to continue this increased growth in the future.

Retailers are encouraged to promote raspberries throughout the fall with in-store ads and signage. Raspberries are typically considered a late-summer berry, so Naturipe also recommends promoting recipes, such as raspberry oatmeal cookies, berry and citrus scones, or baked berry French toast.
