After the tour of the fields of Family Farms Peru, the Dr. Lobos noted: “Everything was great, lots of technology and professionalism, the course is beautiful and very well maintained. I am happy to have visited it.”

Regarding the potential of blueberry cultivation in Peru, the researcher from the University of Talca mentioned, “it is different from how it is managed in Chile, here the production period is longer and that makes it different and interesting to visit. Peru had the great advantage of starting to use new cultivars some time ago, something that Chile did not do at the time, and that allowed, together with a climate with a certain marine influence, to make production here, together with the cultivars, a more efficient production and with a better post-harvest production and that makes Peru grow year after year.”
