International Seminar Blueberries Chile 2018: Industry grows and challenges also

The world economy begins to grow. Despite the uncertainty, the United States remains the main market for our products. China advances, gaining positions in international trade. New routes are opened for our fruit and cranberry is positioned in the diet of many consumers around the world, enjoying a season within the parameters that had been drawn, but there is general consensus that the Chilean industry has lost competitiveness.

At Blueberries Consulting we consider it a good time to meet and learn about the latest in research and development; of new knowledge; and to know our position in international markets to establish common commercial strategies.

It is time to meet and start the year joining forces to face the weaknesses and establish the challenges to strengthen the industry and Chile's position in international markets. There is consensus that more technology should be applied, professionalize the most backward aspects of the chain and advance in the varietal replacement, among other measures, to recover threatened competitiveness.

We invite you to meet to learn about the latest research and development of the Institute of Agricultural Research, INIA, with whom we have close ties, so we will talk in a round table with their scientists.

We must know about the latest technology applied to the agricultural process in an intelligent perspective. In the field of irrigation, soil quality, production and all aspects of the production process.

For these reasons, the first International Seminar that we will do this year will be in Chile, April 19 at the Hotel Monticello Conference Center, where we hope to bring together the entire cranberry industry and most of the players in the fruit world in general.

The call is wide, because the industry grows and challenges too.
