Debates on cranberry production will be held in Talca and Temuco

The next 21 and 23 in August will develop the regional fruit cycles of the Association of Chilean Exporters that will be called "Cranberry in debate". The first date of the meeting will have Talca as its headquarters, while the second will be in Temuco.

Andrés Armstrong, Executive Director of the Committee of Cranberries in Chile, explained that the intention of these talks is to integrate the producers of the field and update them on the future of the blueberry in the country.

He assured that the Chilean blueberry will have to overcome some difficulties during the next years, reason why he considered pertinent that the participants in his production keep the same tune in relation to the information that is handled.

"We believe that we are in the perfect moment to know and analyze these threats in greater depth, as well as to delve into the current experience of those who receive our fruit in the target markets," Armstrong said.

On some changes in the trend of blueberry production in the world, the head of the Committee of Cranberries of Chile said that now it is more common to see how they move from areas near the poles to places closer to the Equator.

"This fact means that there is a more stable offer throughout the year, with more stable sales formats and prices," explained Andrés Armstrong.
