Meetings are constantly being held in different countries and regions that serve to standardize the international industry, learn about the new genetics and related technology, and update themselves with the new knowledge that arises regarding the crop and its market.

In this perspective, Morocco appears as an attractive destination, because the Moroccan blueberry industry, and berries in general, is projected as an important player in international markets and its presence is increasingly leading, both due to its volumes, as for the quality of its fruit.

In September it will be the occasion for the international blueberry industry and its main leaders to meet in Morocco, participating in the XXVIII International Blueberry Seminar to be held 13 and September 14 in the halls of Hotel Les Dunes d'Or Center De Congrès, in the city of Agadir.

The city of Agadir is ideal for this meeting of producers, industry, companies and investors linked to berries, since it is a cosmopolitan and modern city, which has a good urban development, large buildings, important chains hotels, cafes and wide roads.

The projections of the different analysts maintain that before 2030 the production of blueberries in the world will exceed 3 million tons and some go much further, maintaining that the demand will exceed the supply of fruit. This forces us to extend the planted area and increase yields per hectare, so modern technological tools, new genetics and the widest knowledge regarding the various factors of the crop are essential to face this "second wave of consumption".

In this projection, Morocco is drawn as a relevant player for the global market, not only because of its strategic position with respect to the European, Asian and Eastern markets, but also, due to the good soil and climate qualities for the cultivation of blueberries and berries in general, its good transport and post-harvest infrastructure, the quality of its human resources and the administrative facilities for starting new production projects.
