Hortifrut seeks to raise US $ 163 million with capital increase

The resources will be used to finance growth in the countries that supply the markets of North America, Europe and Asia, during all the weeks of the year.

The producer and exporter of berries and blueberries Hortifrut reported that the July 9 will begin the preferred option period of the capital increase announced in April of this year.

The company said 61 will be offered millions of shares, of the 64,1 million approved by shareholders.

The price per share will be $ 1.820 each with which the operation would add $ 11.020.000.000, equivalent to about US $ 163 million.

The preferred option period will end at the August 7 and the shareholders who have acquired shares until the July 3 will be entitled to exercise the preferred option.

When the operation was announced, the company informed that the resources would be used to finance the growth in the countries that supply the markets of North America, Europe and Asia, during all the weeks of the year.

Said growth is projected by Hortifrut, through investments in countries physically close to the respective destination markets, which include China, Morocco and northern Mexico, where the company already has operations.
