Driscoll's agrees to terms for Berry Gardens acquisition
Driscoll's has formally agreed to the terms to purchase Berry Gardens Limited, the sales, packaging and distribution arm of Berry Gardens Growers Limited.
Driscoll's, the world's market leader in fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries, and Berry Gardens Growers Limited (BGG), the UK's largest cooperative of berry growers, have formally agreed terms for the purchase of Berry Gardens Limited and the sales, packaging and distribution entity of Berry Gardens Growers Limited.
Berry Gardens has grown, distributed and marketed Driscoll's varieties exclusively in the UK for over 20 years.
The sale of the trading table to Driscoll's is the latest development in the longstanding relationship between the two companies.
In a statement, Berry Gardens said: “Berry Gardens have grown, distributed and marketed Driscoll's varieties exclusively in the UK for over 20 years. "The sale of the business desk to Driscoll's is the latest development in the long relationship between the two companies."
