Agrícola Cerro Prieto shipped its thousandth container of fresh blueberries this season

(Agraria.pe) Agrícola Cerro Prieto (ACP) has just set a record, exporting its 1.000th container of fresh blueberries (16 tons each container) in its 2022/2023 campaign.

"We renew our commitment to bring the best blueberries to homes around the world, this is how the effort and dedication of our entire team is giving results during the 2022 Blueberry Campaign," the company said.

In this sense, ACP thanked all its work team, from the field to the plant and the world: “We have all made it possible to reach this new goal. Everything, thanks to the passion and commitment of our collaborators who overcome every challenge every day”.

Its general manager, Alfredo Lira Chirif, pointed out that at the end of this campaign (2022/2023) they expect to dispatch around 20.500 tons of fresh blueberries (to date there are already 16.000 tons), which would mean an increase of 70% compared to the 12.000 tons dispatched in the previous campaign (2021/2022).

These higher fruit shipments are due to higher volumes due to the new areas that came into production, and other areas that are reaching their production peak. The main destination market for the company's blueberries is the United States.

Date

Agrícola Cerro Prieto has 1.400 hectares of blueberries, of which 1.250 are in Chepén (La Libertad) and 150 hectares in the Santa Rosa irrigation system.
